Hi Kawal. I notice sometimes the Braille output is blank, almost as though VO has lost focus. I usually go to the bottom of the screen and then to the top, and if the display is still blank, I press the home button to come out of the app, and then go back into it. If the joystick and thumb keys still don't seem to work, there is a test mode in the esys to check that everything is working OK. You select tools and press the left joystick to bring up options and select test. Then you can choose either the braille display or the keyboard. Once in there, if you test out each of the keys, if they are working correctly, you should get something on the display to show that that particular keystroke is working OK. I've had to send my esys 12 back three times now, and they are charging me 260 pounds to get it completely refurbished. It always seemed to fail with the right joystick up command, so they are replacing the right joystick. I just hope nothing else goes wrong with it. I'm a bit disappointed with its fragility. Brilliant concept of an all in one notetaker and portable display, but rather unstable and inaccurate for Braille input, which is a real shame, since on paper, it seems to be a perfect device.
