For me, the finder has always sorted my files by ascending order by name. You might use VO-Comma to open finder preferencees and look for any sorting options. Also, look in the View menu from the menu bar while in the finder. there you should be able to check the default view and possibly the sort option there also. I'm in mail right now so can't look immediately at the finder options to confirm these. Anyway, this will give you the opportunity to explore around your system a bit more. <smile>
