Hi Mark,
well, several days late, but better that then never, I say!  lol!

anyway, it seems like I've got my mail problems settled down, but I had to 
remove my gmail account and add it back in to my apple mail and I've had to 
also set my view settings to not organize by conversations to set things to 
rights..

As far as not doing this in outlook, well, since I don't have that program, not 
even in my virtual machine, I can't comment on that, but it doesn't seem to be 
doing it in thunderbird, either, for what it's worth.
