I always thought .app files were programs. No, I didn't look inside it though I have seen the view package contents option before; I wasn't sure when that would be useful. I'm still new to this mac stuff and packages and apps are definitely uncharted teritory for me right now. I was getting used to the idea that apps from places other than the App Store would come in the form of .dmg files and within that structure, you wold see .app and other files maybe.
