Hi Scott, I'll correct this slightly to say that in order to install Drop Box correctly with VoiceOver, you should just open the .dmg file from the location in which it is downloaded, and not try to copy or move it to any other location. If you have set the application to download into your Applications folder, either by changing the default Safari downloads location to point to this folder, or by using the context menu on the link and specifying that the .dmg file be saved to the Applications folder, then there is no problem with opening the dmg file in that location. The issue seems to be with trying to copy or move downloaded folder to a new location. In that instance, VoiceOver does not read anything when the file is opened. However, if you simply open the downloaded Dropbox application wherever you happen to download it, VoiceOver will work for the set up and the installation will be handled correctly. Your system tracks the source location for all your downloads (and this is available in the "Get Info" Command-I queries in Finder), so it can check if the file location has been moved. Of course, for most people the default download location -- i.e., their Downloads folder -- is going to be the place where the Dropbox application .dmg file is downloaded.
This behavior has been true for nearly the last year. HTH. Cheers, Esther On May 3, 2012, at 10:12 AM, Scott Rumery wrote: > I have solved my Drop Box problem.
