More specifically, cut/copy and paste take an object (file, mail
message, etc.) and stick it into a holding place - namely, the
clipboard. Then Paste takes it from the clipboard and puts it where
you are wanting to paste it. Dragging and dropping done with the
VO-comma and VO-period moves an object around on the screen -
presumably from one window to another but as I understand this part,
both the source and destination have to be visable. In other words,
maybe you are wanting to reorange the icons on a desktop or something.
If you're copying or moving files from one folder to another, then I
would think the copy/paste route would be the only way to go. I
personally have hardly ever used drag and drop in windows or on a mac
but I have used it a bit on IOS and that was a cool experience.
