Hello Becky, ABBYY FineReader is an OCR program so you can use it to open a PDF image and tell it to perform OCR. Just select the PDF file, press VO-Shift-m. Press the down arrow twice and you'll hear "Open with, submenu". Go right and press the letter "a" for ABBYY FineReader then press Return.
