Greetings,
In Quicktime you have two options. a Movie recording is using the
camera that faces you and the other option is a screen recording where the
video will be of your computer screen.
If you do a screen recording after pressing the record button you have
to click anywhere to actually start the recording process. I just turn my
trackpad commander off and after pressing record click that and it starts. To
stop a screen recording press control, option, and escape.
A movie recording is a little different. As soon as you press the
record button it starts recording. When you are done just press the button
again. You will have voice over talked at the start and end of the videos yet
though so you may have to edit that out.
I use iMovie to upload to YouTube. If you try it from Quicktime it will
not work. There are audio/video sync issues and the upload will fail every
time. At least it did for me. these issues don't happen in iMovie.
After I record a video in Quicktime I export it to my desktop then open
iMovie and inport the video there. You can edit if you want but if not then
just go to the Menu bar and find the share option.
It will give you a lot of options like mobile me, itunes, YouTube, ect.
This all sounds a lot more complex than it really is. Once you
try it it will make more sense. Let me know if you have more questions. Email
me off list at michael.malar...@gmail.com

Take care
