Hi Max, 

You can certainly use the built-in microphone in the Mac Book Pro, I have found 
the microphone to be most acceptable during a face time call in most 
situations. The headset works well too, it just depends on what you prefer. The 
speaker is clear as well so you shouldn't have trouble hearing the person 
you're calling and the fan is very quiet so that doesn't really impact on the 
noise at all. 

You would sign into Face Time with your Apple ID, so the way people would 
contact you would be through the email address associated with that Apple ID. 
You don't need to set up another one or create a username specific to Face 
Time.
