My experience with carbonite is that it actually is fairly accessible. ONe issue I do have, is when I attempt to look at my backup, I can't drill down into my backup, like I can any folder that has sub-folders in finder, I seem to get taken back to the top level of my backup when attempting to do this. It's interesting that Carbonite support actually said it's totally inaccessible with VO. the system pref pane is actually not too bad in my opinion, with the exception of that one issue. Carbonite like a lot of third-party apps does have an item in the menu bar, which we cannot access. Aside from that, I've actually been very happy with carbonite on the mac.
