Hey tracy, I recently got the airport extreme and so far I like it. First it was very easy to setup with no sighted assistance. I am not sure about the other router you are looking at but the airport extreme is a dualband which is where some of the cost comes from. This will make a difference while using multiple devices and streaming content.
