Have a look at Prizmo. It'll do a decent job but, as one poster has already pointed out, the 3gs' camera is only 3 mp and so will never yield as good a result as the 4 or 4S no matter which app you use. With some practice, and as long as the room is well-lit, I've been able to get quite decent results with Prizmo even with my 3gs' camera.
