I don't have one of those but usually many of the F keys are mapped to OSX behaviors so keys like F7 -F10 are mapped to back, play/pause, forward and mute. On laptops there is a fn key which lets me really do an F7 instead of the OSX function but I'm not sure if the big Apple USB extended keyboard has this.

My friend just bought a 21.5 inch I Mac with extended USB keyboard. In key
describer mode, the f1 through f4 and F7 and F8 keys do not work. Is there a
special key combination to enable these function keys or did he just get a bad
keyboard?

Thanks.
