Hi, To add to that, what one might think of as a context menu is more typically found on the iPad, as opposed to the iPhone, since the iPad screen is larger, therefore more realistate is available to the user.

The equivalent to a context menu for an element is typically activated by double tapping and holding, but this is neither universal nor as ubiquitous as you'd find on desktop operating systems. To select all; move through the rotor until you get to "edit" then flick up until you reach select all. You can then double tap to select and delete or replace as you like. Somehow it is probably activated by tapping once and then holding but I could be wrong. I am also wondering how to do a "select all" in an edit field. The other day, I used Siri for text dictation and could have really used a "select all and delete" command on my iPhone. I had dictated a text in English, but I had neglected to switch Siri to understand English. It took me forever to delete the text since I could only delete one character at a time. > > Any help on these issues is, as always, greatly and gratefully appreciated. > > Mike > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group. > To post to this group, send email to macvisionaries@googlegroups.com. > To unsubscribe from this group, send email to macvisionaries+unsubscr...@googlegroups.com. > For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/macvisionaries?hl=en. > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
