I have heard that the Fujitsu 1100 portable scanner comes with ABBY and I know that a scanner I bought several ears ago came with a copy of ABBY that was not as fuctional as the current one is. So you might want to look at if it comes bundled with the scanner you are thinking of purchasing, perhaps you can save the software purchase.
