Hello Paul, ABBYY FineReader for the Mac is an express version and has no preferences.
I use it with VueScan so that I can scan as many pages as I need into one file before handing it over to FineReader for the OCR. I have the system set up so that FineReader is launched automatically when the scanning is finished. I do this by having VueScan create TIFF files, and having TIFF files always open with ABBYY FineReader. I have no idea how to scan more than one page at a time with FineReader alone.
