hello Johnny,

I remember tripping out when I first got my MBP and finding out that it was hard to tell whether the computer had shut down, since I was used to hearing the cooling fan humming loudly on my PC. What I've found useful is that the Mac will shut down in less than a minute after you confirm that you want your computer to shut down. If you listen carefully, you will notice that yo Mac makes a sment "click" once its off.

HTH a little,
Ezzie

Subject: Shutting down my MBP

Hi all,

Just wondering if there was a way to get some sort of sound to play to indicate that the mbp is indeed shutting down. It's too quiet when shutting down.

Thanks much in advance,

Johnny
