Hello Kim. I am running Windows 7 in  Vmware Fusion with Jaws. I updated to 
Lion with the update and didn't have any problems. I recommend that you make a 
known good backup and go for the upgrade. If it works you saved lots of time. 
If it doesn't work restore from your backup.
