I'll give that a try, then. Thanks!

Ripit says they have tested on thousands of DVDs and to contact them if you
find one they can't rip. From the web page I cited:

"RipIt is guaranteed to work and has a 99.9999% success rate in ripping
DVDs. In fact, it has been verified to work with over 250,000 unique discs,
and is continuously updated to rip the latest releases."

You could also try RipIt. While it's not free ($25) you can do 10 rips
before it self destructs.

I use mactheripper and it's a nice, lightweight app if you have OS 10.6 or
earlier with rosetta support installed. as it's a PPC app. I use it quite a
bit and it handles a fair bit of the newer encryptions. there are of course
other apps worth checking out.

I've heard about that program, but I'm not sure that will bypass copy

since dvd's are protected from copying?

Hey Daniel,

I have found that Hand Break is an accessible program with Voiceover.
It is free, and it works quite well for ripping DVD protected content to
your computer.
The ripping process takes roughly about an hour or less (depending on length
of DVD). The ripped image is placed on the desktop as an MP4 file, which you
can copy into the "Automatically add to iTunes"
folder. Once loading iTunes, the file will successfully import into the
movies category.
