Okay. Twice now, I've had to restore my system from Time Machine backups
because I could not successfully uninstall to apps; those being Fan Control and
JDownload. With Fan control, the files which one is supposed to delete under
~Library/Preferences are not to be found there. Also, there is nothing in the
start up items folder off the Library folder of the main volume.

With respect to JDownload, there seems to be no way to remove it after
installation. I found that on the Mac Rumors forum, others also had this to
say.

Question seems to be this. When an app has an installer package, should I
first look todetermin whether uninstallation is possible before deciding
whenter or not to install? Thanks.
