I suspect what is going on is the site has been programmed to auto tab to the 
next field when the current field is filled.  Some sites, for example, will 
break the credit card number field up into four different fields, probably 
because it looks prettier or something, and then will auto tab through these 
fields as data is entered, making it look like only part of the field is filled 
in.  Unfortunately there's not a whole lot you can do about that.
