I've tried removing and reconfiguring my gmail acount according to a set of instructions I found on google, only to not find a place to select a server type when it comes to imap or pop3. I've typed in "pop.gmail.com," but under the advanced tab, it still says something about setting a path for the imap server, so have no idea if simply typing the server name and changing the port number would be enough, have my doubts though.
