hi, before you start reading, are you interacting with the textedit? if not, that could be the golden thing as for why it don't work. i believe i use the mouse, or as we call it the trackpad, i flick down with 2 fingers, and it start reading. When I'm done, i stop and press ctrl-option-f3 too hear the line number i am on. Did this help you? :) if not write again and i will appear as by magic, and try fix it best Sandi
