Hi David,

I've come across this behaviour as well. It seems that, on the Mac, we don't 
have 2 different browser dialogs. On Windows, you have an open file dialog and 
a browse for folder dialog. On the Mac the normal open file dialog is shown, 
and whether or not entire folders will be selected depends on the application 
it's used in. In mail, for example, to open items in the dialog, I always use 
Command-Down Arrow, as Command-O assumes you want the entire folder.
