I love my apple TV because it's like going to the video store and being able to browse by myself with no sighted assistance. I did need sighted assistance to set it up. However, once it is set, I can operate it totally independently with vo. It is actually a small box that you connect to the TV you already have. Your TV has to be an "HD" TV (whatever that means).
