To add to this question...
Is there a limit of mailbox favorites one can have? I had a heck of a time
adding a mailbox, then decided to remove a couple, I then could successfully
add the mailbox.

If you have Lion:
1. In mail, go to the mailboxes table and interact with it.
2. Go to the mailbox name you want to drag over to favorites and hit vo
comma to tell voiceover what you want to drag.
3. Stop interacting with the mailboxes table, move over to the favorites
bar and interact with it.
4. Move the vo cursor to the spot where you want the dragged mailbox to
appear, and hit vo period to perform the drag and drop.
