I haven't found a way around this either. When I come across a conversation and I go over the headers, everything is marked as read. My preview pane is 0 lines, off. Has anyone written apple accessibility about this? I thought it was something I didn't understand about apple mail, but I'll write them about it and see what I get back. Paul.
