Hi Paul,
To add to this, if the sorting is by name but it is in reverse order, you can
correct that by clicking the column header for name, with the mouse. We,
voiceover users, have a shortcut to do the same thing. Moving the vo cursor to
the column to reverse, you then press vo shift backslash. In your case, move to
the name column and to any filename or folder name, then hit vo shift backslash
and the sorting order will reverse. Now from top to bottom in alphabetical
order.

Note: you can do interesting things this way. Say, you want to know which of
the 800 files in a folder, is the largest file in there. All you need to do is
move to the size column, hit vo shift backslash to sort accordingly and then
look at the top or bottom row. It might be that the smallest file is now at the
top, and the largest at the bottom, but it can also be the other way around. So
to sort according to a particular column, vo shift backslash on it. To reverse
the sorting order, do it again. To sort according to another column, move there
and hit vo shift backslash again. If the order happens to be reversed, hit
again. Now you can sort for any column in both directions.
Hth,
Paul.
