Oh, I change other formats to .aiff. Ya know, if I have wavs or mp3s. I created a sounds folder under the hd/library folder. You can put it inside the sounds folder inside the home library folder if you'd like.
I chose the hd/library because then the sounds are available to all users. Command-shift-C for the hd, open your hd, open your library, then create your sounds folder in library. Open that sounds folder and paste your sounds.
