To add a different perspective on the screen reader cost issue, depending on the needs of the end user, the "mac is cheaper in the long run" argument may not hold, because there are now perfectly adequate low or no cost screen reading solutions for Windows, namely NVDA and System Access. In the case that one of these suits the needs of the perspective user, the cost of a Mac mini plus needed accessories will not be less, even in the long run, than a comparable pc and one of the above named screen readers.
