Hi Keith!
I'm not on Lion!
But a place to look is under your keyboard shortcuts table in the keyboard 
button in system prefs!
There is a lot of categories and keyboard shortcuts in that table!
And you should be able to uncheck the keystroke or even put a dash instead of 
the key combination that is already there!
Somewhere Esther had given a way to disable the shortcut strokes to help with 
the f10 f11 and a couple of others, to help with windows and I should imagine 
the same might apply here!
At the time Esther suggested disabling those keys for normal vo use as well 
because if a vo user hit them by mistake it was annoying!
And disabling them stopped that and freed them up for windows use!
