Two things to make this simpler. First, Command-L not only moves you to
the URL input field but it also selects all the text in there. So you
should be able to just do Command-L Command-C and be done. If you do
interact with the text and then want to select all the text again,
rather than navigating around just use Command-A for "select all" and
then copy.

Hi all,
When attempting to copy the contents of the safari address bar to the
clipboard, command c for copy seems disabled. I first navigate to the address
bar with command l. Then I turn quicknav off. Then, I move the cursor to the
start of the line with command left arrow. Then, I select the entire line with
shift command right arrow. Then, I press command c to get this copied to the
clipboard, but command c bangs. Any idea what I may be missing?
I'm trying to copy the url for pasting in an email.
Paul.
