Hi, 1. In Safari Prefs in the General pane, set New Windows to open with Homepage. 2. In System prefs in the General pane, uncheck the checkbox related to "Restore Windows when Quitting and Reopening Apps".
In most cases that will do it. Some people have had to also set the Remember Recent Apps in the General pane of System Prefs to "None" as well. This setting is usually temporary but seems to help modify the settings properly.
