Ray,

You had the command correct the second time, but there's no space between
the tilde and the slash, so the command would be:

Chflags nohidden ~/Library

After you type that, be sure you type exit to log out of terminal, give it a
few seconds between commands, and then check again for the folter.

Hope this helps!

Subject: need help in unhiding the Library folder off my home folder

Okay,

As I'm quite certain many of y'all are aware by now, Lion has hidden the
Library folder which is off the home folder. The Library folder off the
route is not hidden. I'm a little confused as to the instructions one needs
to put in to Terminal to unhide this. Here's the first string I tried.

"chflags nohidden / Users /< Ray >/ Library"

OF course, I left out the quotes. I figured that the instructions meant
that "Username" was to be substituted for by my actual home folder user
name. that didn't work so I tried this:

"chflags nohidden / Users /< Username >/ Library"

No luck with that either. So, I tried a method recommended as the shorter
way:

"chflags nohidden ~ /Library

After all that, the c/Users/Ray/Library folder remains hidden. Can't help
but get the feeling I'm typing something wrong here. Any advice?

Sincerely,

The Constantly Barefooted Ray!!!
