Hi, Brandon,

I tried looking up a word in Spotlight, and the definition was in the list; 
just not at the top. Another thing you can do is select the word you want to 
look up by going to the beginning of the word and pressing 
option-shift-right-arrow, then bring up the shortcut menu with VO-shift-m and 
choose "look up"
