I actually was able to work this out. (see the rest of this thread.) I had 
initially downloaded Lion for the second time, but instead of pressing 
"continue", I pressed "close" or "cancel" (I don't remember what the button 
was, really, but I shut it down, and at that point, the installer was in the 
apps folder. If you install it immediately after download, it self-destructs, 
so you would have to go back to your purchases in the App Store and download it 
again *without installing* in order to make a DV D.
