Yeah and apparently they also have VO-less to drop the item before the cursor 
and VO-greater to drop it after. Not sure about that or why one would want to, 
but there you go. And I've found that dragging and dropping does work better, I 
tried it in Finder just for the fun of it last night and it worked. I still 
wish they'd add command-x by default but oh well.
