Hello Brian, Yes, VueScan can do batch scanning. You have to get the orientation right yourself either by putting the document into the scanner the correct way round, or by using the Rotate controls in VueScan.
I can scan a double page at a time in my portable scanner, and for that, I have to set VueScan to rotate right. You can set the number of seconds between scans and you have to press Cmd-g to tell it when to stop because you've done the last page. You download VueScan from the developer's site: www.hamrick.com You'll find a table with all the available versions of VueScan for Mac, Windows and Linux.
