Hello James and all: I am writing to contribute my two cents on this one and I promise ... it is two cents :).
We are Mac users here without boot camp or fusion. I am not a champion of one way of doing anything over another. The big question here is ... and yes ... it is not the sexiest of questions ... what tasks do you perform on windows that you would need to do on a mac? It is possible that the mac will provide opportunities to perform those actions and boot camp may become unnecessary. There were a few windows activities that I found I can perform a little easier on a mac and no windows was required. That worked for us though it may not be the answer for everyone. So, fire up that electronic pencil and list those things that you perform on windows that urged you to write the email and then see what the available options are. This list is a fantastic sounding board. Hopefully we can be useful to you. Take good care and I wish you enough.
