Not necessarily, Ray. It depends on how he's got TM configured. You actually can, in fact, set TM to only back a small amount of things up. Like, say, you only wanted it to back up your home folder. So, yes, though you are correct, it ***can!*** back up everything, just remember, there are ways of changing that setting.
