Mark, I haven't experienced this with Skype, but I have a Magic Jack, and often have the same problem. I think the interference has something to do with the internet connecting with the land lines, cell phones, etc. I experience this when talking to people who have cell phones more than land lines, and it seems to be worse in the evening, when it is logical that there would be more traffic on the internet from my neighborhood. I have cable internet, by the way.
Some times I can hang up and have the person call me back and this stops, but not always. Some times I can talk and it's as clear as a bell, and other times, not so clear.
