There are a few things i still don't quite catch on this application, but so far i've tried something to synch daw plugin and midi controller and it works pretty good.
I've set up garage band to have tw4 tracks, one with the midi output plugin called midio which allows garage band to give midi clock info to external sources, placed idrum on 3 different tracks, beat, bassline and sample group i took from a soul track. It all synchs nicely to the tempo set in garage band, and i can just play around infinitely on patterns and such which save to regions in gb, which i then quantize. My midi controller being an mpd 26, i can set various repeats and swing values directly. Now i'm trying to find a way to map certain sliders of overlay effects to the sliders on my controller for some live recordable effects. Anyone have any idea here?
