Hello again,
I just bought a dvd from the UK because it has video description. My macbook
pro's dvd player wants me to change my dvd player region, and says that I can
change it up to five times. Since I live in the states, I do not wish to do
this. Does anyone know of any software that will rip the dvd regardless of
region? Or perhaps even rip the dvd and let me deregion the files so that I can
burn a dvd which will play on region 1 players.
Personally, I'm rather pissed about the whole region concept It has nothing to
do with intellectual property, and everything to do with some damn company
telling me what I can and can't do with a dvd which I purchased quite legally.
I get that they don't want their stuff shared on file networks and torrents
etc, but this kind of nonsense they pull makes me feel very sympathetic to all
the movie pirates out there. This region crap needs to be fought and done away
with as soon as possible. *Rant over*

Friendly,
Chris
