Another option is for her to go to www.apple.com/macosx and look for the latest combo update, as sometimes an update is too large for Software Update to handle, causing failure. Egun On, Lagunak! It seems like something in the software update application got corrupted somehow. Hope this helps, even though it's not the best solution. -----Original Message----- From: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com [mailto:macvisionaries@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Daniel K. Gartmann Sent: Thursday, June 16, 2011 2:47 PM To: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com Subject: Software update fails on MacBook Hello, Well, this is not strictly related to accessibility, but hope this doesn't become too off-topic anyway. I want to run software update on a MacBook running latest SnowLeopard 10.6.7, but the update fails saying "software update ended unexpectedly". And I can't do the usual check for updates. I tried repairing the disk permissions and restart the machine, but still the same result. Anybody got any hints as to what is happening here? Thanks a million in advance.
