Hi Emilio,
I never had any issues getting my USB ports recognized under Windows.  I just 
installed the VmWare Tools, which may or may not have had anything to do with 
it, and connected my USB devices.  A dialog pops up on the Mac side asking 
where you want to attach the device, to either the Mac or Windows, with a 
checkbox to remember the setting for future use.  
I'm afraid I can't help specifically with the floppy question, as I don't 
remember.  I'd suspect you'd be advised to poke around in your VM settings 
though.
