Hi Annie, There should be two apps, one is the louis braille translator and the other is the emboss utility.
I actually abandoned this in disgust at one point because well, I need a test embosser and they haven't added usb support to the thing yet which makes it tough. also, they've berried the documentation in the .app package itself. How you get it out of there I do not know, but a clever help button in the louis window to show the help file without having to perform surgery doesn't really seem too out of the way. I've gotten louis to do a nice job of back translating .brf files to text so I could read them without a special reader, but that is about it. Along with USB device support and easily available documentation, I want to see louis develop some automater junk and integrate with mail, text edit and other mac applications. So you could for example, select text, press control option shift M, and press enter on the translate and emboss option in the pop up menu to do just that.
