I think it is well worth it, it makes more financial sense if you have a family pass, so if you have a wife / husband / partner etc, that way the cost begins to dramatically fall per user, but I'd still even have the single user account.
yes its expensive compared to similar other services, I think MM works out at about £5 per month, about $8 or so per month, but you get push e-mail, push caledner sync, push contacts, push Safari / browser bookmarks, find your phone if it is lost / stolen, remote lock etc... for me the benefit of being able to fix contact issues on my Mac, and have them sync to my other two MAcs and to my iPhone and iPad all in seconds, is amazing, and so helpful. Likewise, the MM e-mail service is very, very fast indeed. I can press send on an e-mail with MM, and have it arrive at another MM address in under 2 seconds. very impressed with MM overall, and would highly recommend, especially if you have multiple devices, seems pointless otherwise, other than don't forget its a backup solution too. I can format all three Macs I own, plus my iPHone and iPad, and MM has me covered, and just puts the data right back again once I power up the phone / tablet, / install OSx. cheers.
