Hi Christine: The mail rules area way to control how mail takes care of messages. For example, Let's say I want to have every message from my students go to a particular mailbox. I can set a rule so that when a message has a particular clue , such as the word "lesson" it goes into a folder or mailbox which is designated for that purpose. HTH Carolyn
