To save a apple script as a application. When the apple script is opened with the script editor press command + shift + s this will open the save as dialog. Right arrow until you hear AppleScript Editor window Untitled File Format: one more arrow to the right and you will hear Script pop up button click the button and down arrow until you hear application and click it. Arrow right until you hear Save default button and click it. All done.
