Hello List,

I have several large smart and regular playlists in my itunes. I shuffle them
so I don't get the same artist's songs playing back to back for an hour.
However, when I do shuffle these playlists, I will run into the situation
where songs by the same artist appear back to back or within 3 songs. Is there
a way to tell iTunes to add space between the same artist and not to play them
back to back, or better, don't allow the same artist to be played within 10 or
11 songs?

My second question regards crossfading. I've only seen one program on the PC
side that does proper crossfading between songs where the crossfade point is
determined by the audio level at the end of a song, and not by the amount of
time. Is there a way of accomplishing this in iTunes? I also don't like the
traditional definition of crossfading where one audio source fades out as the
other fades in. I'd like the next track to start at its normal audio level
while the other track ends naturally.

Thanks for any help. Perhaps this is a feature I can request if it doesn't
exist.

Kevin
